the audience member raised an interesting point that the Tories have yet to present a manifesto whereas Labour has already done so, despite the fact that the election was, in fact called by the Tories. This supports the idea presented in the second video that their tactic is less about winning over voters with meaningful and impact policies and more about attacking the opposition leader and (in some cases) aiming for tactical votes.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately your point is incorrect as neither party has released their manifesto. Attacking and capitalising on weak opposition is nothing new, the general election will provide an up to date view of the public's regard of both Theresa May and Jeremy Corbyn. In addition, strengthening the Conservative majority can only be beneficial to the entire country as we enter negotiations with the EU, knowing full well that a united parliament with a large Conservative majority poses a great threat to Verhofstadt & co.
DeleteThe audience member hit the nail on the head, I think Theresa May is too worried about her image.Which is jeopardizing her strong and stable government that she always promises because the public aren't allowed to see her viewpoints on different issues televised, just because she doesn't want to look stupid like Diane Abbott did
ReplyDeleteThe audience member made the point that the conservative party has yet to present their manifesto. This is somewhat strange as the conservatives were the ones who called the election. Labour has already presented their manifesto. The second video agrees with the first video as it tells us that the Tories are going to be attacking the opposition leader and gaining tactical votes as their tactic to win the election.
ReplyDeleteNot at all. Still time to release Manifesto, Tories have larger support than ever anyway. May has made it clear that Brexit means Brexit. Just give it time. I'd be much more worried if I was supporting Labour. Alex Jones
ReplyDeleteI think that audience member put forward an interesting point that I did not consider, about that the tories haven't put forward their manifesto yet they were the ones to call for an election so therefore they should be the ones to have had the manifesto out before any other party. Also, the tories tactic to criticise and attack the labour is I believe pathetic they should instead focus on how they can be better govt than the labours and get there manifesto out so that the public can see the policies and they can than decide who represents their interests
ReplyDeleteCan't deny that I respect the man for calling out the reality of how May is avoiding any chance that could skew her public image; His bluntness is refreshing iin British Politics
ReplyDeleteThe guy raises a good point, which I find weird, as to why the Conservatives have not released their manifesto yet they were the ones to call the election. It also seems like Theresa May is playing the election safe by trying to stay out of the media and not participating in debates.
ReplyDeleteI am really thankful to the holder of this website who has shared this enormous article at here.
