Corbyn has said in an interview with the BBC that he intends to change the shadow cabinet in order create a more balanced Labour party. I imagine he is doing this to give representation for all members across the board. He hopes that this will give a sense of stability to the party which has been recently lacking and therefore enable them to challenge the Tories more effectively.
